1. What we collect about you, the referrer

• Your name and email address, which you give us when you sign up. We email you a one-time code to confirm the address is yours.
• Your referral code and link, and how they are used -- which referrals are recorded against you and which milestones they reach.
• Technical details of clicks on your referral link: the IP address, the browser user-agent string, the page the click came from, and the date and time. We also store an automated risk score for each click, which we use to detect fake or automated clicks.
• Payout details -- your PayPal address or bank details -- but only when you ask to be paid. We do not ask for these at sign-up.

2. What we collect about the person you refer

When you refer someone, we collect the contact details you give us about them, such as their name, phone number and email address, and then whatever else they choose to give us themselves if they go on to apply for the job.

The person you refer has the same rights over their information as you have over yours, and can contact us directly to see it, correct it, or have it deleted.

3. Why we collect it

We use this information for three things only:

• Recruiting -- contacting and assessing the person you referred.
• Checking milestones -- confirming whether a referral has reached the appointment or time-served milestone that triggers your payment.
• Paying you -- calculating and sending your bounty.

We do not use it for anything else, and we do not send you marketing you did not ask for.

4. Cookies

When someone clicks your referral link, we remember that you sent them so that we can credit you if they are hired. We do that with a referral cookie that lasts 30 days, and with one matching copy kept in the browser's own storage as a backup.

• ccd_ref_attr -- set on ccdocs.com when someone arrives through your link, and readable across ccdocs.com and its sub-sites. It lasts 30 days from the click, and the clock does not restart when they come back: a click on day 1 and a visit on day 20 still leaves 10 days.
• affiliate_attribution -- the same information on affiliate.ccdocs.com. Historical; it is not readable on the site the person is sent to, which is why the cookie above exists.
• A copy is also written to local storage under the same name, as a backup for when the cookie is missing but the browser is the same. It is only ever used to rebuild the cookie for whatever time the original 30 days had left -- it never extends the window.
• All three hold the same three things: your referral code, a random click reference, and a timestamp. There is no name, no email, no phone number and no address in any of them -- not the referred person's, and not yours.
• They are set as sameSite=lax and are readable by scripts on our own site. That is deliberate: the job application is submitted to a different sub-site, and a browser will not send a cookie there, so our page has to read the value and put it in the application itself. It also means the value is less protected than a strictly server-only cookie.

What happens if the person clears their cookies. We lose the link, and we cannot get it back. If someone clicks your link, then clears their browser data, then applies later without clicking your link again, that application arrives with nothing connecting it to you. The same is true if they click on their phone and apply on a laptop -- the two browsers do not share anything, and nobody can honestly claim otherwise. The way to protect yourself is simple: have them use your link on the visit where they actually apply.

The cookie is a convenience for linking clicks to your account. Your claim to a bounty rests on the recorded referral, not on the cookie.

5. Who else sees this information

This system is self-hosted on Call Center Doctors infrastructure at affiliate.ccdocs.com. Your data is not fed into an advertising network. The only outside parties involved are:

• Resend -- delivers our emails, such as your sign-up confirmation code. They handle your email address.
• PayPal, or your receiving bank -- when we pay you. They handle the payment details you give us.

That is the complete list. We do not sell your information, or the information of the people you refer, to anyone.

6. How long we keep it

We keep referral and payment records for as long as we need them to run the programme and to meet our accounting and tax obligations, and then we delete them. If you want your records removed sooner, ask us and we will tell you what we are able to delete and what we have to keep by law.

Click records, which include IP addresses, are kept only for as long as they are useful for attributing a referral and detecting fake clicks.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it. So can anyone you have referred.

Email [email protected] and we will respond. Deleting your account information may mean we can no longer verify or pay a bounty that has not yet been paid out.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your own country's data protection law -- for example in Mexico, the Philippines, or a LATAM country with its own data protection act. Those rights apply on top of what is written here. Send any formal data protection request to [email protected] and mark it "data protection request" so we route it correctly.

8. Age

This programme is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

9. Who we are

10. Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will email people who are signed up to the programme.
